About Alford:
The town of Alford features a rich history, rural demographics, interesting geography, and diverse wildlife. Alford does not have a post office so rural mail delivery comes from neighboring zip codes. Our town has no stores, no motels or hotels, and not a single gas station, all of which are available in neighboring towns.  Alford hires the State Police (Town of) Lee Barracks to do shift work.  There are still a few farms in operation that export their goods, and sell goods in local stores and farmer’s markets. Some full-time residents are self-employed or own their own businesses, focused on trades and professional services. The majority of full-time residents work in surrounding areas; second-homeowners and retirees make up a large percentage of the town’s current population.

Church Connections:

We currently have not identified any churches located directly in Alford.  Churches in neighboring towns, seem to serve the spiritual needs of the people in Alford
